Almost no rain and a clearing sky, leaving the swell and the breaking waves on their own. Ocean wave sounds for sleep, generated live rather than looped.
Rain almost off and the cloud deck thinned out, leaving the water to carry the scene by itself: a low swell underneath, waves breaking over the top of it, and very little else.
The surf is what makes this work. Continuous filtered noise reads as a hiss rather than a sea, so individual waves are modelled as discrete events with the asymmetry real ones have — roughly a fifth of their life rearing up and the rest draining away. Two of them run at rates with no common factor, so the same wave never arrives twice in a session.
Reach for this one if you want water without weather.
Every control stays adjustable once the scene has loaded, and the live-weather toggle hands it back to drifting on its own.
